This monthly draw was created to raise funds for the maintenance of our Village Hall in Brede.
In the last 10 years it has raised over £4000!
Member subscriptions can be made via an annual standing order or online bank transfer, if possible, at renewal in December 2021 (our year runs from Dec to Nov). However, we will continue to accept payment by cash or cheque if preferred.

Thank you to Rother District Council for their Covid grants over the past 12 months.
With help from Brede Parish Council, Lesley Bannister has been busy completing applications so that the hall received their share of the grants which were available to all community halls during the pandemic.
AGM Wednesday 7th July at 7pm in the Main Hall.
The Annual Meeting of the Management Committee was held on Wednesday 7th July 2021, 7.00 pm at the Village Hall. Members of the local community and representatives came and we elected a new Chair and Vice Chair. These are William Brown and Cherry McCleery respectively.
We would like to thank everyone who made the effort to come along, we were very pleased with the turn out, especially as it clashed with the Euro Semi Final which England were playing.
Thank you to William and Cherry for volunteering to become trustees, and welcome to William as a new committee member. We are very much looking forward to having a fresh new face lead us forward.
We sadly still didn't fill the position of Secretary, so if you are free on Wednesday evenings for a monthly meeting and can easily type up minutes and an agenda we would love to have you join our team. To attract more regular users we have started a maintenance programme.
So far we have resealed the main hall floor and replaced 2 window panes. Next we will be turning the unused Doctors' Surgery into a Treatment Room. We hope to have this ready by the New Year and it will be ideal for those looking for a space to hire to carry out treatments ranging from beauty to chiropody, Reiki to counselling, or massage to reflexology. A comfortable space with it's own entrance, a toilet with access directly from the room, its own sinks and free parking. We feel it will be an asset to the hall and a useful commodity for the village especially for those starting out a new business venture or for those wishing to reach more rural locations.
We will also be renovating the Committee Room to make this a welcoming and user friendly space and the toilet and side entrance hall.
To attract more parties we will be allowing bouncy castles once more. We are just writing the policies, forms and altering our T&Cs to make this possible.
The following rates to hire the hall were proposed and agreed and will take effect from 1st January 2022:

It was also proposed that six months expenditure should be kept in the savings account and a further half a years costs kept in reserve for emergencies. this was also agreed.
